Nestled below Hergest Ridge, the historic drovers' town of Kington stands alone from a walking perspective, with more long-distance paths converging on the town than almost anywhere else in the UK.

The hard working committee has put together an exciting and varied programme of over 30 walks for 2019 to include some walk repeats from previous festivals as well as some brand new ones. Since its inception in 2011 the Walking Festival has gone from strength to strength and this year  promises again to bring a range of walks and events to suit all tastes.

Although most participants came from the Midlands area, visitors from as far as Surrey, Glamorgan, Yorkshire and Scotland also took part and enjoyed themselves. Many of the walks sold out in 2018, some quite quickly, so remember to book early if you can for 2019.

The programme will be out in May.
