Kington is in an excellent position for leisure cycling. Sitting in the heart of the Welsh Marches, it is a prime Welsh Tourist Board Mountain biking destination.

Cyclists, looking for less strenuous cycling, can enjoy a network of small lanes, little traffic, unspoilt countryside and small villages and hamlets. This is  suitable cycling for families and suggested routes can be found in the T.I.C.

Use O.S. Landranger 148 Presteigne and Hay on Wye to explore the area.

Should you wish to travel further, access the WTB mountain biking website.

Wheely Wonderful Cycling based in Elton, Ludlow have an extensive selection of cycling and walking holidays. Their website contains everything you might want to know about an active holiday in an area covering Herefordshire, South Shropshire and Mid Wales.

Use www.nationalcyclenetwork.org.uk for the Radnor Ring an eighty four mile waymarked route of circular rides through Mid Wales and also for Lon Las Cymru, the Welsh National Cycle route.

Many visitors to Kington spend a day in the ElanValley. If you are a cyclist why not take your cycles along and follow the Elan Valley Trail, ten miles of easy traffic free cycling round the Elan Reservoirs.
