Walking from Kington using public transport information from Sargeants Brothers Buses  Most of the following walks recommended here are from "Walks you will Enjoy" and details can be downloaded from the Powys Ramblers website (please note copyright details). Experienced walkers using Explorer Map 201 might like to choose their own routes in these areas.

1. Using the Hereford - Kington - Llandrindod Wells service. Routes 461 & 462


Using Walk No 5 from Walks You Will Enjoy - 8 miles(13kms) suggested time 4 hours - New Radnor, Mutton Dingle, Stanlo Tump, Radnor Forest and Whimble.
This allows time for a circular walk from New Radnor.

Using the same bus service from Kington and alighting at Fforest Inn:- this is a request stop.

Walk No. 6 from Walks You Will Enjoy - 7½ miles (11.5 kms) - 3hrs - Llanfihangel-Nant-Melan, Fforest Inn, Water-Break-Its-Neck, Foice Farm

Walk No 18 from Walks You Will Enjoy a shorter walk 6.5 miles (10km) longer 8.5 miles (13.5 kms) allow 2.75 - 4 hrs - Llynheilyn, Foice Farm, Black Yatt, Cwm Kesty, and Gwaunceste Hill

Using the same bus service alight at Llandegley

Using Explorer 201 do a circular walk round the Llandegley Rocks or on the other side of the A44 visit The Pales - Lower Cwm - Cowlod - Vronlase approx. 5.9 miles.

Using the Kington - Presteigne - Knighton service. Route 41.
