DESCRIPTION:Sat 12 Aug / 9.30am start \n\nAll day event  :  Join Tudor Davies to bridge the Claerwen and Elan Valleys with this moderate 6 mile linear walk.  Enjoy the hill views of both valleys\, Claerwen Dam and Craig Goch Dam and explore the landscape and discover one of the Elan Valley leats finishing at Craig Goch Dam.  Bring a packed lunch.  Meet at Bottom Claerwen Dam Car Park  by the Toilet Block.\nGrid Reference : SN 870634 \nVillage Tour \n\n\n\nSat 12 Aug / 2 - 3.30pm \n\nLearn about the history of Caban Coch Dam\, the workers’ village and other stories on this easy one mile walk. \nMeet at the Visitor Centre. \nDam Open Day\nWed 16 Aug / 1 - 4pm \n\nJoin our Rangers at one of our big Dam Open Days - an exclusive chance to venture into the Pen y Garreg Dam and up to the central tower. \nYou’ll enjoy a bird's-eye view of the Reservoir – and learn about the feat of engineering that made Elan. \nPark at Penbont car park and take a walk through the woodland\, up the steps to the dam entrance. \nThere are steps inside the dam which may be wet and in some areas there are low light levels. \nChildren should be carefully supervised at all times. \nMinimum donation £1 for adults and children.
