SUMMARY:Kington & Radnor Cross Border Beer festival
DESCRIPTION:The inaugural Kington and Radnor cross border beer festival takes place this Easter on Good Friday and Saturday 25th and 26th March. Four pubs in Kington taking part include the Olde Tavern\, Oxford Arms\, Swan on the Square and Royal Oak. In Radnorshire there is the Radnor Arms and Radnorshire brewery bar in New Radnor and the Fforest Inn at Llanfiange-Nant-Melan. All are accessible on the 461 bus which runs from Hereford to Llandrindod Wells almost hourly throughout the day with the last bus back around 7pm. If purchasing a return ticket journey’s can be broken. For those wanting to experience the fabulous Radnorshire countryside there is a guided walk on the Saturday starting at the bus stop in New Radnor at 10.30am to the Fforest Inn. It’s a hilly 5 and a half mile walk with splendid views. There is the option of walking back to New Radnor\, just over 4 miles\, at about 2pm. Entry is £5 (£4 for camra members) for either or both walks. “Over the Hillbillies” are playing at the Swan in Kington on the Friday night.

SUMMARY:Easter Extravaganza
DESCRIPTION:Following the success of the Late Night Shopping/Frozen Event in December we would like to host a fun Easter Extravaganza in the afternoon of Saturday 26th March. \nHow this Event will work: \nThe theme is Alice in Wonderland and we have four characters that will run the event between the hours of 2pm and 4pm based at The Place de Marines. The characters will collect payment of £1 per entry and give out the relevant paperwork and first clue needed to start.\nThe children will be looking for a letter placed in the shop windows and will then collect the next clue either by coming into the shop or if you prefer you can put it in the window next to the letter. (clue and letter provided) They will continue along the high street and surrounding shops until they have collected all the letters they need and finish back at the Place de Marines where they will hand in there forms. All correct forms will then be placed in The Mad Hatters Hat and be drawn for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd prize at 4pm.\nWe will also be encouraging the children to partake in Fancy Dress and Easter Bonnet competition\, a prize will be given for best outfit and best bonnet worn. The judging will take place throughout the afternoon and all winners will be notified at the end of the event at 4pm.
