SUMMARY:Presteigne Food & Flower Festival
DESCRIPTION:A celebration of local food\, producers and gardens at this family-friendly festival on Bank Holiday Monday. This year’s event will again take place in and around Presteigne’s town centre. With free entry and free parking\, it is a great day out and an opportunity to meet local food and drink producers as well as visiting hidden town gardens and joining in with fun and varied activities. \nThroughout the day\, there will be a food court and activities at St. Andrew’s Church and musicians and choirs will entertain around the streets. For the young\, there will be Forest School and craft activities\, face painting\, a foraging walk for families\, treasure hunts and more. Workshops\, demonstrations and talks complete the day’s varied and inspiring programme. \nFree admission\, free parking and plenty to eat and drink of course! \n  \n\n

DESCRIPTION:Walking For Health (W4H)\nThe following walks are held weekly throughout the year.  All welcome.\nMONDAY 2pm – Intermediate walk of one hour  in and around Kington.\nTHURSDAY 10.30 am – Every Step Counts scheme for people with limited walking ability due\, perhaps\,  to ill health\, diabetes etc.   15-30 mins\nTHURSDAY 1pm – Progression walk of 2-3 hours.  Sometimes strenuous taking in\nBradnor or Hergest Ridge. \nAll walks meet at the bench opposite the YHA\, Victoria Rd\, Kington.  Dogs on leads welcome.\nFurther information tel: Paula Whitehouse 01544 598192
