In a beautiful setting in the heart of the Radnor valley, the garden is part of a restored C16 farmstead, with long views to the hills, and The Radnor Forest. It is a traditional garden reclaimed from the wild, using locally grown plants and seeds, and with a herb patio, wildflower meadows and a short woodland walk. It is designed for all the senses: sight, sound and smell.
Set just north of the Four Stones, pre-historic standing stones, there are mown walk ways to carefully placed garden benches, and views to the hills and the ancient village of Old Radnor, where Alfred Watkins evolved his thoughts of Ley-lines. The Hymns has inspired several artists, the work of whom can sometimes be seen in the barn. It reflects the County motto : 'Powys Paradwys Cymru', 'Powys – the paradise of Wales'. See garden website for detailed information.
